Wireless Broadband Club

Stour Valley Wireless Broadband Club for people in Bures, Lamarsh, Alphamstone, Wormingford, Glemsford and surrounding areas on the Essex & Suffolk borders to join forces in creating a broadband inter-village computer network with high speed Internet connections, basically a Community Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP).

Your Internet connection is always on and does not need a telephone line as this is not ADS! Free voice calls to others on the Internet and cheap VOIP calls including Skype. You will also be able to send email & upload files faster than any BT ADSL services.

Our Aim

• bring Broadband technology is the collective name often given to an always on fast Internet connection. Broadband can be delivered to your to your house using the telephone line with ADSL, though the air using radio/ light. Broadband connections vary in speed but they are always connected to allow for things such as making and receiving phone/ video calls over the Internet for free.broadband technology to villages around the Stour Valley and its outlying areas
• always on Internet connection for anyone who wants it
• provide a high speed village/ inter village network
• do all this from £7.50 a month club subscription
• provide a platform for education and learning
• be sustainable
