Network Reliability
This network is built and maintained on a 'best efforts' basis and there is no guarantee of its performance or reliability. That said it is proving to be stable and fast. If a fault does occur it may be fixed in minutes it may take days. That said SVW builders use it too so will be keen to fix it ASAP.
SVW does not offer any Service Level Agreement (SLA) but then neither so BT, NTL, Telewest etc on their consumer offerings, it's just they'll not be so up front with you.
What if it breaks?
We strongly recommend that you keep your existing Internet dial-up account so you can use this if SVW has a problem; if you don't already use a Pay As You Go service most ISPs can change your account over to that. With Pay As You Go there is no monthly fee you just pay for calls. Alternatively you can set up an account with http://www.virgin.net as a backup.
