{SearchText}How to set up networking for a Windows 98/ME/2000 computer:
1. These operating systems need a PPPoE client to connect to the network. We recommend RASPPPOE
2. Download RASPPPOE.zip (or equivalent)
3. Install PPPoE client. Follow links belowto be taken to the RASPPOE site to get installation instructions
4. Use the supplied username/ password from SVW to connect. You should connect almost instantly
5. Test your set up by clicking Start>Run and type "command" (without the quotes)

11. Type ping "127.0.0.1"- you should see entries along the lines of "Reply from 127.0.0.1:bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128" repeated 4 times
12. Type ping and your IP address supplied by SVW- you should see entries as before but with your IP address instead of 127.0.0.1
Thats it- your computer is set up for the network.
